Group of policemen in Beyoglu, Istanbul. 2006, the time when Israel bombed Beirut.

I found an interesting bar, decorated vaguely by icons of power. The space is called the “youth and culture center” but there is speciifcally noone around. Basically the people are old, they gather for wine. I installed police picture shot in Istanbul, Turkey to this forgotten bar in Formigine.

This is a bar, “youth and culture center”, where I had installed the policemen's picture from Turkey, in a frame which existed there. Forrmigine, 2006

To be Turkish mean that you are in the middle between two worlds, two cultures etc... Turkey can be by itself in the middle? I mean not in East, not in West. 3. What is the most important causes that make Turkey a nation? And can we say: Turkey is a nation for all Turkish people? ”
