Photo studios in Formigine have their shopwindows reserved for wedding ceremonies. I installed this wedding picture from Turkey among the others by the shopowner’s help. He had framed it and placed it within the context.

This is a photo studio, Marco Fabbiani, where I had installed wedding picture from Turkey, in a frame which existed there. Forrmigine, 2006

Achilleas Kentonis, the director of Artos Foundation, Nicosia, Cyprus has made a remark on this installation. He suggested that the idealised image for a wedding ceremony would always be the standard type of the westernised. Meaning all around the world, where he said, on the other hand, the funerals are always traditional. Another remark was made by one of the Turkish artists. Hera said that she saw two old ladies staring at the picture close enough to recognise that there was something strange about this particular one.
